Every project I take on begins long before I pick up the camera. As a San Francisco Culinary Photographer, my work is about so much more than capturing beautiful food—it’s about presence, preparation, and creating space for your story to shine.
Whether I’m photographing a cookbook in San Jose, a new product in Carmel, or a full campaign for a Bay Area food brand, I treat each session like a collaboration rooted in care. I arrive early, taking time to connect and ground myself before every shoot—sometimes literally with a short meditation—because I want to show up fully for you.
It’s a Relationship, Not a Transaction
To me, photography is a shared experience. I invest time getting to know your brand, your energy, your audience. This means:
- Bringing intention into the planning and creative direction
- Communicating with everyone involved—stylists, chefs, team members—with kindness and clarity
- Creating a calm, focused environment on set, where collaboration flows naturally
As a Commercial Food Photographer based in San Jose, I’ve seen how a thoughtful approach changes everything—from the mood of the team to the magic we capture.
Preparation is My Superpower
What you don’t always see is the behind-the-scenes energy that goes into each shoot. From sourcing props to mapping light at the location, every detail is considered. I believe in working with intention, so your photos feel aligned, not rushed.

Even during my Natural Light Food Photography Workshop in San Francisco, what stood out most wasn’t just the lighting tips—it was how much heart goes into creating a space where visuals (and people) can truly thrive. Read more about that here →
I’m Not Just Shooting Food—I’m Telling Your Story
Whether you’re launching a new brand or adding new life to your visual identity, my goal is to reflect the emotion, the craft, and the soul behind what you do.
I’m not here to take quick snapshots and move on. I’m here to partner with you. To translate your vision into visuals that connect. As a SF Bay Cookbook Photographer and San Jose Beverage Photographer, I’ve had the honor of working with chefs, founders, and teams who care deeply—and I meet that energy with my own.
Because in the end, it’s not just about food.
It’s about how it feels to be seen.
