Elena is graduating in the most challenging year you could ever wish to graduate. Pandemic, politics, uncertainty, global climate change, and so many other challenges that will leave this generation; perhaps, being the most resilient generation ever to go into the real world; which today is still partly partly virtual world. The year 2021 was the year that “last” that never happened for teens. However, what remains important is what is ahead of them/us.
First, I am grateful to have the opportunity to help celebrate the seniors of the graduating class of 2021. For many no proms, or real last day school; but memories can still be made.
Second, I am always thrilled to know where they will be going, and in the same manner, I see them grow from toddlers to teens; and I experiences seeing of my clients now graduate from University and become professionals. I am most amazed at my journey as a photographer, and it’s remarkable to witness from afar.
Last, can’t stress enough the importance to celebrate your kids no matter what age. Specially when going through important milestones such as graduating form 8th grade, or graduating high school. Cherish every moment. Allow space to create those memories with and for them. Be part of the pictures if possible.
I am happy I get to see Elena venture out on a new path rarely chosen, but yet so incredibly amazing: sign language. I can already picture helping others; closing a gap with communications; and having a rewarding career. I am so darn luck to do what I do, and to witness these journey.
