Beautiful images from a recent Fall Session in Mountain View, California; the home of Google. There will be no soundtrack to these pictures… Just want you to feel when you see them:  Joy, Love, Sunshine, Laughter, Family, Togetherness.

I dedicate these pictures to the family that took me in as one of their own, when I left my family in Panama, and ventured into a new place that I hadn’t been before.  They have treated me with nothing but kindness, and I am so proud to be a part in their hearts.  I hope my kids look back to this family vacation in Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, with joy. I have made it my job to document the happiness to be around family; and I couldn’t do any less for this family.  I hope to one day be able to provide these memories for my own grandkids.

Shooting this session, I kicked off one the items in my photography bucket list. I wanted to photograph a family while on vacation.  And while I wasn’t there for the whole vacation; I learned that this place has a lot of meaning to them. They go there almost year for a week long vacation, and it was so important to them to have tangible memories of this place, and the happiness they feel every time they go back to this beach home. So everything felt into place.

I strive to showcase this happiness for them, and of course make the mom in these pictures shine. Because that’s exactly what I would want for myself; and I am here for you my dear, and beautiful moms client of mine. Hope you can feel the love in this family through these images, as much as I could feel it while photographing them.

Hybrid Session. Shot on Canon 5D Mark III, and Canon EOS 3, with Ektar 100.

Once again, I had the opportunity to travel to Toronto, Canada this summer, and photograph some amazing families. I feel so grateful for the opportunity to enter into these families’ homes, so they can let me capture the joy inside them.

My subjects: a sweet and beautiful stay at home mom, and her three gorgeous young kids. I saw myself in her so much, as I am also a stay at home mom; and I “get her”.  She shuttles kids back and forth from her kid’s school, and activities; grocery shopping; make sure everyone is fed and happy; homework; get them clothed; etc. And yes, to stay at home is a huge privilege; but it is also a lot of work. It’s also a time in our lives that goes by so incredibly fast. So it was my intend from the beginning of this session, to capture as many beautiful memories of these crazy years for her. Because I know, no one will treasure and appreciate these memories more than her.

On September 12, 2007 at 11:50 AM, I became a mom for the first time. And I own this gift to the boy in these pictures. Dominic is an energetic, compassionate, and bright little boy. He gave me the biggest, most precious gifts of all: he made me a mom. He taught me to love in a way, I never thought it would be possible. A love beyond anything or anyone I have loved before. Happy 10th Birthday my sweet boy, mi amor, mi rey, mi corazon….
